I Promise I'm Still Here...

Hello there... if anyone is there.

I have been really bad at updating this lately.  When I have a lot going on I tend to let things like blogging slip.  Life has been quite the roller coaster lately.  But I'm excited for where it's taking me.  I just need to keep up with the pace.

What have I been doing with my time, you ask?  I like lists so here is what I've been doing/planning in list format:

  • I moved to a new apartment!  I am very excited about my new home, but living my life in transition over the past few weeks has been pretty rough.  I am looking forward to the end!
  • I spend my Thursday nights here.  Which I highly recommend you check out if you are in the Naperville area.  I love my Small Group girls.  We are currently doing a study in John on Jesus' I AM statements.
  • I am also getting my Wednesday night Prayer Group involved in a new project that I am excited about.  Its called unBox, and its about moving faith beyond the four walls of a church building.  Check out Sarah Cunningham's blog for more info! (And I just enjoy reading Sarah's blog in general, so you should check it out!)
  • I'm also working on a fun gift for a friend of mine... of course it's a surprise so I cannot say more.  I LOVE surprising people with really cool gifts!
  • My little brother just graduated college, so I went to his graduation ceremony last weekend and I want to give a shout-out to him!  He is spending the summer in Iowa volunteering through the DNR and AmeriCorps.  I think the gist of what he is going to be doing is living in a tent and working the trails, cleaning up the parks/forests, preventing soil erosion and other random tasks.  What a great way to spend your summer... for him, not me!
  • I am also preparing to leave in a week for Cozumel!  I can't believe how soon that is coming.  I am looking forward to a break from my fast paced world.  While I have been feeling really convicted lately about how and where I spend my time and money and I am trying to live in a less selfish way, I think we do need to take time to rest and revitalize ourselves.  So I am looking for a period of rest, and when I return... look out! ;)
  • Of course, I have been working... which is fun, but a challenge every single day.  Our office is moving soon and when you work for a small company (less than 10 people), that means everybody is involved in planning the move!
So needless to say, my life has gone through lots of change (and preparing for more) recently.  I welcome change though!  I cannot stand standing still.  If you are not moving forward, you are moving backwards.

I hope you are doing well and I hope to write more than once a month... so I will be back soon!
