I am back! March was... intense. I feel like I spent a month not breathing. I am so glad its over. April is still busy, but I am taking it one day at a time and some of the pressure from last month is gone. It is going to be a great month!
So many things are happening in my life right now, it is been quite the season of change. But I really think all this change is for the better. I actually really like change (for the most part), but it is really intense when it all comes at you at the same time. Right now, my roommate and I are moving (we are SO excited because we are moving about 20 mins closer to our church and all of our friends!), my work situation is going through some changes including moving to a new location, and because of everything else that has been happening in my life especially this past month I have changed my approach to what I do and where I spend my free time.
I was just looking over my 2011 New Years Resolutions (not the 27 x 27 list I posted on here) and even though I had forgotten about that list I made about 3 months ago, I have been doing pretty good on some of my resolutions. One of them was to spend more time on my own. Last year I really spent pretty much every free second I could doing things with other people. While that can be good and is lots of fun... it will lead to being burnt out very quickly. Another resolution was to learn how to say 'no' and while I still need to work on that one, I was very proud of myself last weekend. I wanted to go to a planned event with some of my friends in Chicago, but the more I thought about it the less I thought I should go. I hadn't really taken care of myself in March, so I really needed to be alone and rest. I ended up sticking to my resolve and staying home and it was so amazing. I felt so refreshed!
So now here I am after a great weekend of rest and I am ready to go! I hope God has been blessing you in your quiet times as well. What has he been teaching you?
